Emirates Confirms A380 Routes

Emirates has announced its 2009 expansion plans, confirming that it intends to commence A380 flights into Seoul and Singapore.

The Dubai-Seoul route will debut in November 2009, while the Singapore service will commence in December and initially operate four times a week.

The carrier said it would grow the number of flights across its network by 14% in 2009, adding 18 new passenger aircraft.

By 31 March 2010 Emirates will have seven more A380s, bringing its fleet to 11, and it will also add 11 more 777s in the next year.

Emirates said it saw the current global financial situation as a 'time of opportunity' during which it will concentrate on strengthening its presence on high demand routes - particularly in Africa and the Middle East.

Fewer new routes would be launched in 2009 than in previous years, the carrier said.

Emirates also confirmed that it would add a third daily Sydney flight later this year.

Fijian hoteliers appear to be determined to regain the confidence of travellers, with wholesalers saying that all major hotels and resorts are including all meals in their pricing.

The all-inclusive breakfast, lunch and dinner deals mean Fiji holidays are amazing value - particularly for travellers concerned about what they’ll need to spend while away.

The specials are on sale to 31 March 2009 and lead in at $799.00 per person plus taxes ex Sydney including Air Pacific flights, three nights at Sonaisali Island Resort, transfers and three meals a day.

And some deals even include beverages, with a $1039.00 plus taxes offer for four nights at Naviti Resort on the Coral Coast including meals, wine, beer and soft drink.

The unprecedented pricing even includes the Easter break.

The meal deal is an initiative of the Fiji Islands Tourism and Hotels Association.
